Who We Are
Our Vision
At Marions Foundation, we envision a world where every person has access to the resources they need regardless of their background or circumstances.
Over the past 12 years, we have been privileged to partner with Kapenguria, Kibos, and Thika Schools for the blind for education.
We have provided a lifeline to impoverished visually impaired children by ensuring access to education, building permanent homes on land we purchased, and offering crucial assistance with their daily needs. We advocate for equal opportunities and inclusion for individuals with disabilities in all aspects of society
How it all started
It began with a heartbreaking news report on the Kenya Television Network. We watched, aghast, as the story unfolded about a family grappling with unimaginable poverty, their lives further burdened by the fact that four of their children were blind. The raw despair in their eyes pierced our souls. We knew we couldn't simply turn away.
Driven by a fierce sense of compassion, we contacted the television station, determined to learn how we could offer a lifeline to this family. And so, our journey began.
Today, years later, a wave of gratitude washes over me. Two of those four children have triumphed, graduating from high school and now embarking on their higher education journeys. This is a testament to the power of unwavering support and the resilience of the human spirit.
Yet, this is merely a glimpse of the immense need that still exists. Countless children face similar challenges, their potential dimmed by poverty and disability.
That's why we're now undertaking a monumental project – building dormitories for schools for the blind, equipped with all the necessary tools and resources these extraordinary young minds deserve. These dormitories will not only provide a safe and nurturing environment but also empower these students to reach their full potential.
This is our mission – to be a beacon of hope, to ignite the spark of possibility in the lives of those who need it most. And we invite you to join us on this journey of compassion, to lend your hand and help us build a brighter future for these incredible children.
